The tea Pekoe offered by us here is a fine variety of black tea. This variety is made from young tender tea leaves and buds that are processed to appear shorter, curly, and not very fibrous. Since the tea leaves are tightly twisted and rolled during the traditional black tea production process, this is the variety that takes on the appearance of black peppercorns. Once brewed, this tea has a rich forest (woody) aroma, usually has a light golden reddish color, and a delicate taste.
