The tea Pekoe, offered by us here, is a fine variety of black tea. This variety is made from young tender tea leaves and buds that are processed to appear shorter, curly, and not very fibrous. Since the tea leaves are highly twisted and rolled during the traditional process of black tea production, this is the variety that acquires the appearance of black peppercorns. Once brewed, this tea has a rich forest (woody) aroma, usually has a light golden reddish color, and a delicate taste.
